I watched both rounds he played on Saturday and Sunday and it was fairly clear he didn’t have his “A” game. If I didn’t know who hit the ball off of most of those tee boxes I woulda swore it was a home video of my normal foursome hacking around the local muni. Yet it was still the most unbelievable rounds of golf (especially Saturday) I have ever seen. Even my wife, who could really care less about golf, was riveted to the TV with me. Have you ever seen a guy that is so great - seem like he plays so horribly?

Did he even hit a fairway at all in the entire tournament?

This is what makes this guy unbelievable. His drives are all over the place. He spent more times on the gallery’s side of the ropes they should have made him purchase a ticket. But it’s just amazing to watch him work his way out of it and often times pull off the amazing shot either on the green or right around it. If Tiger ever gets his driver back to the way it was a few years ago the rest of the tour can just retire.

I have to come clean and admit I am a huge Tiger fan. Have been for years since he first went pro and played his first US Open at Shinnecock (my home town). But I have to admit I was a bit sad when he beat out Rocco on the final playoff hole. Tiger Woods is the 2008 US Open Champion, but make no mistake Rocco Mediate played like a champion all weekend and he should get a lot of credit for standing toe-to-toe with the greatest golfer of our time. Kudos to you sir.

This is a team that is really hard to like.

Even my formerly beloved David Wright is wearing my last nerve. Tonight they have made quite a few stupid fundamental baseball mistakes that will cause them to lose. Never mind the fact that they put up two runs in the second inning and then they basically just shut down like they always do.

I think the end is near for Willie Randolph. I was a supporter of Willie, and it’s impossible to really blame him for all this, but that’s how baseball works. You can’t fire the team, so someone has to take the fall. If it were me I would fire Willie and go and find the most miserable S.O.B. out there to manage the team. Sure this roster of prima donnas would surely revolt at having their soft and loose locker room violated and actually having to hustle and work. That would basically mean the forfeit of this season. I would take that loss, as I can’t stand watching uninspired play like this. It would also pave the way for the whomever they decided to hire in the off-season. After suffering through a real ass kicker for the remaining season they would appreciate much more the next guy that rolls through and hopefully feel like they should play for him

I have never been so satisfied with a sports event in my entire life. Not only did they complete an improbably journey and win the Superbowl. But to beat a team everyone was preaching would go 19-0 and go down in sports history as the greatest team ever, oh baby is that satisfying.

Tom Coughlin completely outcoached Bill Belicheck.
Eli was money when it counted.
David Tyree, what can I say, insane catch.
Justin Tuck, you sir are a beast.
Amani, I cried when you raised the trophy at the end of the game, seriously.
